DAILY PROFESSIONAL-LEVEL TRAINING
The GBT Conservatory
Professional-level training in the studios of Gwinnett’s professional ballet company.
The GBT Conservatory is Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s own training program. It offers daily classes for dedicated dancers who want professional-level training close to home. Classes are taught by GBT’s artistic staff at Sugarloaf Performing Arts Center, the company’s own studios.
Daily Classes
- Ballet technique. Daily class is the foundation of every professional dancer’s day.
- Partnering. Learn the skills of classical partnering.
- Modern. Build versatility and strength with modern technique, which today’s companies expect from every dancer.
Who It Is For
Intermediate and advanced dancers, including pre-professional students and college dancers.
GBT’s Trainee Company trains in the Conservatory as part of its season. Meet the trainees on the Dancers page.
Already dancing professionally? See Open Classes for drop-in class at $20.
Perform with the Company
Conservatory dancers may have the opportunity to perform with the professional company in GBT productions at Gas South Theater. Dancers are selected based on audition and their work in class.
Schedule, Tuition, and Scholarships
Classes run on weekdays during the GBT season. The exact schedule shifts with rehearsals and performances, so we share the current week when you inquire.
Many of our Conservatory dancers receive partial or full scholarships. We do not want cost to keep a dedicated dancer out of the studio, so ask about scholarships when you inquire. Every dancer is considered.
Contact us for current tuition and enrollment options. We will reply with rates and the current class schedule.
