The Nutcracker

45 years of holiday magic

Step into a world of holiday wonder as Clara’s Christmas Eve dream comes to life. At her family’s party, her mysterious godfather Drosselmeyer gives her a Nutcracker. At the stroke of midnight the tree grows, the Mouse King and his army appear, and her beloved Nutcracker springs to life to lead the battle. Together they travel through the swirling Land of Snow to the Kingdom of the Sweets, where the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes them with dances from around the world.

For 45 years, Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker has been one of our community’s most cherished holiday traditions. Lori Zamzow-Wire’s production brings together GBT’s professional dancers, the students of Sugarloaf Youth Ballet, and a live orchestra performing Tchaikovsky’s score.

Skip the drive downtown. Make it your family’s holiday tradition, close to home.
