OUR HOME STUDIOS
Sugarloaf Performing Arts Center
Where Gwinnett Ballet Theatre rehearses, trains, and hosts studio events.
About the Center
Sugarloaf Performing Arts Center in Suwanee is the home studio of Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Artistic Director Lori Zamzow-Wire established the center in 2004, and GBT has been headquartered here since 2020.
The building holds more than 20,000 square feet of dance space, with sprung floors and Marley surfaces. There are six dance studios, a tumble room, and a large rehearsal room that doubles as a studio theater.
GBT shares the center with the Sugarloaf Performing Arts school, Sugarloaf Youth Ballet, and the daytime Conservatory program, so recreational students, developing young artists, and professional dancers all train under one roof.
The professional company rehearses here throughout the season. Mainstage productions are presented at Gas South Theater in Duluth.
What happens here
- Daily company class and rehearsals
- The GBT Conservatory
- A graded ballet and modern program for students working through the levels
- Beginner and recreational classes, for first-timers and anyone dancing for the love of it
- Open Classes for working professionals
- Decanted studio evenings
