Brooke Fowler

Brooke first began her dance training with Sugarloaf Performing Arts at the age of twelve. She soon developed a passion for ballet, joining Sugarloaf Youth Ballet the following year under the direction of Lori Zamzow-Wire. Being a part of SYB provided her with opportunities to perform soloist roles, such as Belle (Beauty and the Beast). Over the years, Brooke also competed in competitions such as Youth American Grand Prix and Universal Ballet Competition. Aside from her training with Sugarloaf, she attended summer training programs with Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet. Upon graduating high school, Brooke went on to join Georgia Ballet as a Company Trainee, where she danced for two seasons while also beginning her academic journey with UNG.

Cecily Davis

A self-professed bunhead and avid explorer of movement, Cecily spent her early years training at Southeastern School of Ballet, with summers at Ellison Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, and Masterclasses in Prague. In 2015 she received a full summer scholarship to study ballet and Russian language at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (Bolshoi Ballet Academy). During her time in Atlanta, Cecily has performed and choreographed for Dance Canvas, The Georgia Ballet, The Aurora Theatre, Atlanta Dance Collective’s FEMMEfest, Fly On A Wall’s “Excuse The Art”, and others. Additionally, Cecily was featured in a music video for singer/songwriter Nathan Colberg’s, “The Giver,” and recently performed for Compass Coaching Project in works by Dominic Walsh and former NDT dancer Shannon Alvis.

Charly Gioino

Charly Gioino is from Suwanee, Georgia. She became fascinated with ballet at a young age and began her dance training at the age of two. Charly grew up with Sugarloaf Ballet, performing roles such as the Enchanted Deer from Snow White and Spanish Lead in Nutcracker. She has expanded her dance training by attending multiple summer intensives across the country as well as attending University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. After two years of performing with the United States International Ballet, she returned to Georgia to perform with Gwinnett Ballet Theatre as one of their first Professional Ensemble dancers.

Jane Arona

Jane Arona is from Duluth, Georgia and her passion for dance started at Sugarloaf Performing Arts under the direction of Lori Zamzow-Wire. She spent her summers honing her craft at many summer intensives which included Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Ballet West and Alonzo King Lines Ballet. After high school she continued to study ballet at the University of Utah where she earned a BFA in Ballet. During her time at the University she performed new works by Melonie Buchanan Murray, Christine McMillan, Melissa Bobick and James Wallace. She also got the opportunity to perform a soloist role in Bruce Marks La Fille Mal Gardée. After graduation she joined Northwest Arkansas Ballet Theatre. There she was apart of Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s newest version of The Nutcracker and Cinderella performing various corps de ballet roles and David Justin’s A Midsummer Night Dream. During her time in Northwest Arkansas she was able to explore more into the creative process and was chosen as a choreographer in the inaugural season of NWA Dance Chance. She is a Rhythm Works Integrative Dance certified instructor and enjoys providing the joy of dance to everyone. She is excited to move back home to continue sharing her passion for dance surrounded by family and friends and give back to the community where she was raised.

Sabrina Mack

Sabrina began her dance training at Bravo Dance Center in Acworth, GA at the age of six under the direction of Janet Rowthorn. In 2015, she joined the Sugarloaf Youth Ballet Company and Conservatory Program to further her ballet training under Lori Zamzow-Wire. While with SYB, she performed roles in productions of The Nutcracker, the Nativity Ballet (Mary), Sleeping Beauty, and Beauty and the Beast (The Enchanted Rose). She has also attended summer intensives with American Ballet Theatre, Orlando Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and the International Ballet Intensive. After graduating high school, Sabrina joined The Georgia Ballet, where she danced for two seasons.

Tristen Prescott

Tristen Prescott hails from a small town just outside of Columbia, South Carolina. At age six, she found a passion for dance and trained rigorously at Southeastern School of Ballet, a small school near the downtown area. During her teen years she attended a variety of summer intensives at schools such as Houston Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, and The Rock School for Dance Education. At age sixteen, she was chosen to join Texas Ballet Theater’s very first Professional Training Division, where she trained under the guidance of TBT Ballet Mistress Anna Donovan for two years. During her time at TBT she performed various roles in classical works, such as Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker and Coppelia as well as lead roles in original works choreographed by artists including Hailey Von Schlehenried, Vincent Hardy, Richard Freeman, and TBT faculty.

Apprentice Company

Brianna McMahon

Brianna McMahon began her training at the Allegro West Academy of Dance under the guidance of Catriona Steel in Katy, TX. There, she completed her RAD training and graduated with all distinctions. In the following years, she trained with the Houston Ballet Academy and later transition to the Texas Ballet Theater as a studio company member. Brianna has performed a variety of popular works such as Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Claire Wright

Claire Wright is from Decatur, Alabama originally and has lived in Madison, Alabama; Woodbridge, Connecticut; and now Gainesville, Georgia. After falling in love with the beautiful dancing in the Nutcracker, she began training at two years old and performed in her first Nutcracker with Huntsville Ballet. She continued dancing in Connecticut with New England Ballet, Educational Center for the Arts and New Haven Ballet up until graduating high school; dancing roles including Dew Drop, a soloist in Alwin Nikolais’ Tensile Involvement, Clara and Giselle. After high school, Claire continued her dance training and education at Brenau University and Gainesville Ballet Company. She has also attended several summer intensives, including Alabama Ballet, Orlando Ballet and Carolina Ballet this past summer. Currently, Claire is a junior dance major with an advanced ballet concentration, biology major with a pre-physical therapy concentration and film studies minor at Brenau University.

Karsyn Lemley

Karsyn Lemley began dancing at the age of four at Dancer’s Incorporated in Decatur, Alabama. She continued her training at Progressive Academy of Dance throughout high school and attended summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre and Joffrey’s School of Ballet. After high school she attended the University of Alabama where she performed in works by Qianping Guo, Rita Snyder, and Aidan Nettles, as well as works staged by James Jordan and Lauren Giordano Whittington. In May, she received her B.A. in dance and English from UA.

Company Auditions

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Professional Company members receive a weekly stipend, paid performances, pointe shoe allotment and free tuition, classes and activities.
