Our Community

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre (GBT) has a long history of providing nurturing leadership to aspiring Gwinnett artists.  GBT was founded in 1977 and is one of the oldest non-profit arts organizations in Gwinnett County.  We are committed to improving our community by challenging, delighting, and enriching our audiences through our professional performances, community outreach activities and collaboration with regional arts organizations.

GBT’s annual performance season includes three major productions performed at local theaters including the Infinite Energy Theater in Duluth, GA.  GBT’s most popular performance and holiday gift to the community is The Nutcracker.  Next season will mark our 40th annual production of The Nutcracker.  The GBT Nutcracker brings generations of ballet patrons from all over Georgia to Gwinnett County as part of holiday family traditions.

Our performances reach over 1,000 Gwinnett Public School and home school students annually through our school performances. In addition, we hold “sensory-friendly” performances for children and adults with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum as well as first-time theatergoers and young children. In 2020, we are also offering virtual tickets for those who are unable to attend and wish to enjoy the performance from their home or school.
